SD Card Question

I'm finally looking to download Project M and I just have a few questions about storing it on an SD card. First, it's a 1GB card, and I keep seeing contradicting statements about whether that's good enough, so is it? Second, I have a few Virtual Console games on it already, and was wondering if I can keep them on as I add Project M (provided there's enough room of course). Thanks for the help!

Project M is ~490-500 MB, so 1 GB should be fine.
