Smash Journeyman
Hey guys!
So, I've been trying to do work in my local area to help it grow. I live in atlantic canada, and things are only just getting off the ground here. I've taken up reigns as TO lately and I've kind of invented Nightingale Games to give a proper name and direction to the support I try to provide locally.
We have a huge annual tournament coming up (Not one I'm running thank god.) called the Fredericton Gaming Expo, or FGX. (http://frederictongamingexpo.com) I was approached by someone in the Newfoundland scene with the idea of sponsoring some of their players, as the flights they need are pricier than any of the other provinces that would be coming and traveling via car. I loved the idea because the obviously the more communities that show up at our huge tournament the better.
As a taste of FGX, last year MewtwoKing traveled out to us and Falcon punched our top player so hard it ranked #12 on GRsmash's list of Top Falcon Punches.

We had NFLD players fight for the spot, and the winners were "The Nix" in melee and smash 4 "GEEEEEEEZ" in Project M The games can be found on the nfld twitch http://www.twitch.tv/smashnl
Any extra funds that come out of this will go to funding/sponsoring more players for this event.
Thanks for reading guys! I love the smash community, and while Nightingale Games is still a teeny tiny organization, I want to do everything I can to make sure that as many people as possible can get into this game, and compete at top levels.
