Towel
Smash Rookie
I'm not going to act like I know what happened, I'm all the way on the East Coast. However I do know there was a great deal of dissatisfaction about this weekends event. My first instinct was to propose a guide to TO'ing, however those are abundant on this very forum.
Instead, I propose a case study. Take a tournament, name the error, why it happened, how it was solved, and how it could've been solved more effectively. Example:
Tournament: Towel's Made up Regional 1
Error: Bracket ran far too long because TO had too much on his plate
Why it happened: TO entered tournament, didn't enroll assistant TO's in a regional
How it was solved: TO dropped from tournament, and asked for help to get the tournament on track and run smoothly, getting everyone out in time
Better solution: Come prepared with assistant TO's, don't enter your own tournament.
While this example can be argued against, my point stands. Let's take a little time to reflect globally as a community on what happened at iconic tournaments such as MVG Sandstorm this past weekend and Apex 2015.
Perhaps we can list a '10 commandments of TO'ing' if that doesn't exist already.
Thanks for the read, keep in mind this is from an observant new member of the community, I may not be aware of extraneous resources that have been around since ye olden times.
