For those of you who don't know - "sandbagging" is purposefully not playing your best. (I hear Isai is notorious for doing this?)
Sandbagging is an interesting concept. One with many motivations behind it.
For a competitive player (such as myself) I find it rather insulting when people do not give me their best (ESPECIALLY if they're better than me). I long to improve, and playing against (many) people better than yourself IS the best way to improve.
In considering this, I do realize that 'playing your best' can be rather draining and there is little incentive to do so at times. (Some may argue that it sucks the 'fun' out of the game)
I'd be a hypocrite if I said I have never sandbagged. This is mainly for two reasons:
1) I don't want to discourage new players who are sensitive.
2) Playing my absolute best (while fun), is sometimes exhausting and stressful. (Why not just dish out 'enough skill' required to win?)
Though, for the most part, I avoid sandbagging. This has nothing to do with 'rubbing it in' (if I'm clearly better)
...let me hear what you guys think.
