hi, im new to the boards and became a member to see if i could meet up with other 64 players in the san dieo area. as sad as it may sound, ive been playing cpus for the past few years in hopes of getting better. (the n64 would be something id turn on sometimes when i find myself bored) ill play against a few friends every now and then, but with 64 being so irrelevant nowadays as it seems, its hard to find anyone with any real interest in it. i think its a classic, and its something that i want to keep fresh for myself. i truly do love the game and prefer it much over the games that have followed it.

also, just today ive attempted to play online with project64. im not really all that computer savvy. what i thought id do was download thepj64 netplay setup, extract it, download the ssb64 rom, enter the galaxy ip address, and connect to any game of my choosing. apparently, im totally doing it wrong haha. i cant even connect to the server at all. ive looked through various google search results, and search results here on the board, but these have gotten me nowhere. id really like to play online, but it doesnt sound as easy as it seems. (port forwarding? i dont even know what that is)

to make a long story short: im new here. san diego, where you at? id like to play online, but it looks like im gonna need some help

ah yeah, i was reading a few things on what adapter i could get here on the forums, the raphnet was a possibility. i went with the mayflash though, it seemed people were satisfied with having one. i wasnt really looking too much into it to be honest aha.

it should be coming in this week. cant wait to play for real-ish aha

As for console players in san Diego there aren't very many players. I used to play with glowworm occasionally but I haven't been back to san diego in a while. But when I'm home I can play some

I'm from SD as well, I would definitely think about showing up to something assuming I don't have to wake up early the next day.

I'm not as good as most people on these forums but I'd be down to lose :p

I will likely be traveling the country side over summer in 2013, and I'd like to get a chance to play with many of you while I am in Cali. I'll be practiced up.
