He might be talking about stage spike? I've gotten one against a Marth with my Up+B on Final Destination. I think it works by having just the very outermost part of the Screw Attack hit them, and the move is programmed to hit them upward so they get hit by the rest of the attack, but when I did it, it only knocked him under the lip and to his doom.

Naw... to me, it's common knowledge. The Screw Attack seems to have random knockback trajectory. Your DI can also affect this. I've sent foes in pretty much every single possible direction except directly straight down. So far, it has only happened to me in grounded Screw Attacks. Aerial Screw Attacks never spike, at least for me. Oh, and the spiking power is weak. The hitstun is the same as that of a normal Screw Attack, so it will almost always be meteor canceled or whatever it's called now. You'll live no matter what, unless you're at 600% or something like that.

If it's anything like the Melee Screw Attack, there are four hitboxes, one at each corner. The ones on top have spike knockback and the ones on the bottom have upward knockback.
