Samus in online free-for-alls.

Heh. Those are more like a party game than a fighting game.
Her moves are actually pretty decent for crowd clearing. Fair autocanceled into tilts or smashes can clear a bunch away from you pretty well. Count the points and KOs- the best way to get KOs is to snipe KOs with something simple like an Fsmash or a chargeshot on high % damage people, and landing dairs over the stage for spikes. After that, just camp with missiles to keep your lead, and use setups to clear the mob when you need to. Only go for the Smash ball if it drifts low, not when it drifts up, and sadly unlike some other characters Samus isn't too good at using projectiles to grab the smash ball. At the start, go for the player that causes the most trouble or seems most likely to win, KO them once quickly by getting them off the course and gimping their recovery when they don't expect it, and then simply don't let them KO you back- it's a good way to bring them down and makes it much easier to win 1st place.
Lastly, win any Sudden deaths with a sweet spotted Zair, it's a real advantage for Samus.

Yes. Steal kills with the charge shot and bairs, and never die. If you can, spike. Don't worry about raising damage - they should be doing enough of it to each other; just make sure they don't do it to you. Stay away from people with kill moves (you never know with the lag - the move could be over by the time your shield finally engages). Ledgestall a lot. Keep people from getting to close with with the zair.
Within two minutes no one should get too terribly many kills - if you don't die and managed to steal at least one kill you'll likely end up winning. With the, umm, 'brilliance' I've seen online you'll likely end up getting a point for a KO when someone SDs in at least one of every few matches.
If there's enough good items on everything I mentioned goes down the toilet. Switch to ZSS so you can be all fast-like and get the items first.

Down a is a great crowd clearer. If you can get away from the group get your charge shot ready.
Just finished playing a match where I got 7 kos in two minutes, and won with +6. Got 3 kills thanks to a well placed zero laser. Owned?

Dsmash works really well in free for alls, or atleast for me and Fsmashes can work when people aren't paying attention to u, u just have to control the match
Yeah with items on it really feels more like a party game than a technical fighting game. It's easy to pick up a few of these items and no matter who you are playing, get a couple KOs with it. Then all that matters is if you're in a good spot to pick up items, which is pretty random.

Items ruin FFA. Of course, it is a FFA, which is silly.
To win a FFA with Samus, all you do is steal kills. That's what With Anyone is all about, stealing kills. Just like Lone Wolves in Halo 3. Stealing kills and the smash ball.. it's always hilarious to kill them all at once with the final smash.
Also, dsmash works wonders. It was sudden death once with Snake vs me, and the second the announcer said go, I tapped right and dsmashed before the snake even moved (we spawned in middle two spawns on FD). Pretty funny.
I'd advise you to gtfo of With Anyone and add some people on SWF to play with.
