Just a half an hour ago, my friend, who wants to go by Dell, and I were playing doubles on For Glory. I decided to play Ryu, he went with Fox. We readied up and on the loading screen, I used Ryu's Down-B to stun the CPU Ryu, but at that moment, Dell used Fox's blaster on the falling Ryu. This caused him to fall in his stun state for a longer time. Shocked by this, we kept trying it and trying it until the match started. Our opponents were a Luigi and Jigglypuff, and we executed this tech so effectively that they left the match immediately after it ended. Dell's brother was in the room watching us play and he suggested we try it out with other characters, sadly none worked due to the flinch their weapons inflicted. We've been looking around the internet since and we are pretty sure that this is undiscovered and a new way to play the doubles metagame, we saved replays of us trying this out on a third character and we will upload them to Youtube in a few moments.

Hopefully so, it seemed to aggravate our opponents enough to rage quit.

Aggravation aside, it doesn't sound like intended behavior. Not knowing if this was possible in previous patches, I can't really speculate more, but it's odd that only a no-hitstun/knockback move seemed to prolong the effect. Try it with Heavenly Light or Falco's Fox-like Blaster custom, and see if those result in the same effect.

We just tried Heavenly Light and it sort of works. We tried it out and it pushed the 3rd character out of the way but it seemed to stun it for slightly longer than normal. I don't have any Falco customs so I couldn't test his Burst Blaster.

Mii Gunner's laser is another similar option, though none of these except Heavenly Light hit near as frequently as Fox's Blaster.

To verify with Heavenly Light compared to the pushback, make a custom stage where the pushback will just push them into a wall and they won't exit the AoE.

Okay. I'm back from a long day of school, theatre practice, and getting Smash Wii U's video uploader to work. I'm going to test out Heavenly light in a custom stage and see if that works and then upload that sometime tonight or in the afternoon tomorrow but for now, here is the link to the video on YouTube of the glitch being preformed with Ryu and Fox.

Try Doc and Mario. It does no flinch, and it is relatively fast.
