Hello, i've just wanted to let you guys know that me and my friend have started a smash club at our high school!

Here's how it works: Since this club is just 2 weeks old or so (wednesdays after school), we have started a ranking system.
Basically, who ever thinks they're good (at the assigned game) raises their hand and gets put on a numbered list. We've had 8 people raise their hand. Then, we go on the list and put them on a random position. So if they think they're good, we put them at the top, until somebody proves otherwise and beats them. That somebody then takes his/hers position, while the loser gets knocked down 1. The next session of smash club we will do a ranking system for Melee or Smash 4.
Now for CRT's, we're planning on buying some at goodwill someday over the weekend. While we do have a couple already, we need more because people get bored in this club since we don't have enough TV's for everyone.

This is what is going on with our club so far, I like it and everyone seems to think the same.
It would be great to have some tips or some knowledge about we should run our club. Anyone have any ideas of what we
should bring up next? (we thought about showing the smash doc. but the time it takes is too much, considering how short
our club runs, which is about 1h30m).
But yeah. Any advice would be helpful, since we're 2 weeks in and still building our club.

Here's some advice:

Make absolutely sure that EVERYTHING is scheduled, well thought-out, and tested.
Not to make myself one of those people who plans things far too much in advance, in fact, I hate doing that.
BUT IN THIS CASE ONLY: PLAN FOR EVERYTHING.
Nothing is worse than holding (weekly) tourneys and promising a losers' bracket, and then, due to disorganization, have to cancel it.
Also, not having faulty controllers, and, above all, implementing fair ranking systems. It's good to encourage a culture of sportsmanship from the start of a smash bros club, and, as AirFair pointed out, it would be best to have a tourney for one week, and then rank based on that. People will fall into place more easily if they understand why they are better/worse than their opponents.
