If there was another delay, it would be on the dojo right now. As you are new, I'll go easy on you, but about 8 bllion threads have been made about fake delays already. All have been disproven.

Always use "search" to make sure a thread about your idea doesn't already exist, and welcome to smashboards!

Oh lawd, how many times are people going to post these kinds of threads every day? There was a post like this like 10 minutes ago.
Rumors are to be ignored. If Brawl is to be delayed, Sakurai will kindly let us know.

Honestly I see the Dojo confirming a delay after rumors of it.

Afterall he did give us Sonic last delay... So he is probably afraid to announce another delay, although he has to let companies know.

Its not delayed. For one, there are alreayd commercials of it, and it's WAY to close to the release date.

Secondly, IGNORE WHAT THESE RETAILES RELEASE DATES SAY. Retailers get the release dates after a company announces them to the public anyway, not the other way around.

THATS IT, Im so sick of these stupid rumours.
Brawl cant be delayed anymore, Sakurai would of said something by now.
Why would they show commericials and then say "Oh sorry Japan, we have to delay it a couple more days"
they have 3 commericals airing and some rumours expect that it would be pushed back more? NO.
Besides, answer this
Has any company delayed a game 15 days before release date?
I dont think so.

We've been waiting for what I think is*counts fingers* seven years? I believe? Well I could be wrong but I stand by it, seven **** years for this game. Plus with the commercials in motion in Japan, its hard to believe there would be another push back.

Dont get me wrong it could give us a chance to have more stuff. But I doubt Sakurai and group wanna cram anymore **** into one disk alone. They are tired and want to see the fruits of their labor flourish, hell as do we all. Sakurai would kick himself in the *** if there would be a pushback now.

Let's see here...
Japan is 2 weeks from release...
They have already began to get commercials...
Last time we got a delay it was a good almost TWO months before release...

Yeah, I'd definently say don't worry about it guys. If there was a delay, it would've been noted by now.

Well, the part about the gamecrazy/gamefly March date is true. But they could just be getting it later or something.

It's too close to the Japanese release for a delay, and no big sites like Amazon or the Dojo have mentioned anything.

Gamecrazy and gamefly may be listing it for March, but that doesn't mean it's been delayed.

There isn't a point to another delay, as the last one was just so the release of Brawl wouldn't interfere with Galaxy's sales.

From my experience working at GameStop, our release dates are usually as up-to-date as they come.

The GameStop website and computer systems in stores still say Feb 10, 2008, so I'll trust that until either our store listing change or the Dojo says something.

I think GameStop has to be more reliable with that kind of information. There's a midnight launch set at my store and everything...

Oh, and I should add that the game's official guide has a release date set for Feb 04, 2008. If the game moves, the guide will too, and vice-versa. Keep track of the guide..

simply YES!

the thing with voice chat is that if you dont have a headset no big deal, you dont talk nor are talked to, so you have NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

but come on you cant hate "PWN3D"
Let me put it this way, VC is good for a MMORPG game like WoW or Lotro.... but have you ever played a competitive game with VC?

Not fun getting called a *beep* every time you kill someone.

Brawl will not be delayed. Let me type this again in all caps for emphasis

BRAWL WILL NOT BE DELAYED

There. Of course this will make me look like an idiot if it actually does, but look, our main source of this rumor is a game rental web site. They prolly just ran out of preorders, and won't have any more available until March.

Am I the only one that thinks that brawl needs no VC?
I wouldn't use voice chat even if it had it. So nope. If I do voice chat while playing I can easily use ventrillo or skype anyway.

Moving on, I have to agree with all of the posts above me. How could the game possibly get delayed as close as it is to the Japanese release? All of the games are generally the same, save for a few SMALL bug fixes. If there was anything large enough to cause a delay for North America, the Japanese release would have to be pushed back too.

As far as translation goes, SSE will, more than likely (I'd bet money on it) not have voice acting more than Melee Adventure Mode did. This means only text would be translated, and look at what we have seen so far. Most of the text has had significant improvements and has been properly translated. I think the last time I saw a poorly translated screenshot (which even then wasn't too bad) was in November or early December.

Fact is, it's nearly done. If anything all they have left to do is look over the the translations and ensure all of it is right, then take it to press. It's impossible for them to still be adding content and major bug fixes are very unlikely.
