1. You touch on the gamepad to use the Amiibo in game. You touch off the Amiibo to save the data back to the Amiibo.
2. You can level up the Amiibo mid battle and it's level increases by 1. There seems to be no fancy level up animation in game. But on the game results screen is says "level up"
