Rough transition with fox from PM to melee

Hey guys, this is my first post so hope I'm not in the wrong category but I was just curious. So I used to play melee back in the day as FOX but since PM came out I switched almost purely to PM (as fox) and have practiced where I can move smoothly, execute nearly all my moves correctly and quickly in PM. I switch to melee as Fox for a while and I feel like I'm back to learning how to walk again. I can't move right, everything seems more touchy, I cant even beat a level 9 computer, etc.

What is it about melee fox that makes it so much harder to execute moves correctly rather than PM?

Pretty simple answer, but most of the frame windows in PM are longer than in Melee when it comes to Fox. You got used to those windows

PM has a lot more wiggle room for your tech than Melee :p

Are the CPU's a lot smarter in melee than PM? Peach destroys my fox in melee, everytime I shield she immediately grabs, everytime i Jump into an attack she does up B, everytime I do a dash attack she blocks it and punishes, I feel frustrated and helpless in this game....sheesh..

CPUs aren't really smart or stupid, they're just weird.
Don't feel bad for getting hit by a CPU, and don't feel proud when you defeat one, just use them as test dummies.

CPUs play nothing like people do, so getting used to countering CPUs weird options and 1-frame reaction time will mess with you when you transition to playing with real players. :p

I have the 20XX hack pack but I feel like I'm not using it to the full extent, what all can I benefit from using it and how?
There's more stuff you can do with it, but:
1. Falco laser powershielding practice
2. Green idle animation overlay (my personal favorite)
3. Missed L cancel red overlay
4. Shield stun indicator
5. Random DI (useful for practicing links and chaingrabs out of upthrow). Surprisingly useful so that you don't miss free stuff like Uthrow Uair against DIing Jigglypuffs and the like.

Those are all things I've used it for, but there are definitely over things that can be done. The save state feature has a lot of potential (illusion practice under Marth's dtilt anyone?), but I haven't really played with it since I keep screwing it up.

I try to use save states to save time, but I always find after a while they crash the game. There was no buffer limit or RAM limit on it so it kind of messing things up lol.
