Rosetta for Brawl?

Sorry if this has already been thrown out there (I'm surprised if it hasn't). I noticed a new character on a news site that will make her first appearance in Mario Galaxy. Rosetta is her name, don't know who she is, but wouldn't be surprised if she made it into Brawl. Galaxy will be out first, right? Discuss

Nah, Peach is all we need, the 'emo princess' would be a bit crap and similar to Peachy. I can't think of any attacks and there's next to no history behind her, for all we know, Rosetta could be Peach in disguise. She's awfully similar.

nah... seeing how it's unlikely that there's even any 4th gen pokemon in it (judging ONLY from what we've seen so far, and the fact production started way before Diamond/Pearl), I doubt a character that was completely unknown until a week after Smash's release date was announced will make it in... heck, a bunch of KNOWN characters in SSBM were taken out due to time restraints.

Start reading the 1st posts boy. TDub301 did not say the Pokemon, but a Super Mario Galaxy Character. And you also have the wrong name, in Pokemon it is "Roselia" this one is Rosetta.

And by the way, i never heard of Rosetta. Can somebody link some sort of picture of her? Or was there no picture with the news?

She's cute, so I can't say I'd object to having her as a Peach alternate costume or something. But then this begs the question about whether or not there'll be any Galaxy material in Brawl.

I too first thought this was related to the Pokémon with a very similar name. Never even heard of her till now, so I'm not really sure much of what to say.

Speaking of Galaxy, since it's Mario's next big 3D platformer in quite a while, I'm sure there will be some stuff from that game in it, like a stage. On another note, let me quickly guess that the latest update will be Galaxy related, but I could most likely be wrong.

I wouldn't be entirely sure. While they'd definitely want to feature Mario's latest game, we can't be all that sure what the statute of limitations is with Miyamoto. I don't remember their comparative release dates, but I'm fairly sure Sunshine and Melee were probably in dev at the same time, and yet we had no Sunshine references.

It's entirely possible, and the start of the production has little to do if they're planning a sure release of a future game. I wouldn't be surprised if they show a stage from Super Mario Galaxy, because the first footage of the game was shown more than one year ago.

Thing is, no one knows who she is (it could be Peach as already stated) and how important she is, at least from what I've gathered from sites that translate that Famitsu page. Even the name isn't an American official one yet.

It is quite possible in my opinion. Throw something new at us that we wouldn't expect. A character from a game that hasn't even been released yet.

And since she is from Galaxy a Mario game.. It is even more possible since they threw in a lot of content and characters from the Mario games.

Not that I particularly want her in, but I wouldn't be surprised if she made it. Galaxy is supposed to be huge. As in, an instant classic killer app huge. I'm sure they'll put some Galaxy related stuff in. And I wouldn't be surprised if that involved a new Mario character.

El HP, how many Peach clones are there? You say it like there are some. Daisy is one of her costumes, but she has no clone. I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about.

Rosetta is who I meant. I was just making an example of another franchise whose latest installement of their series isn't getting any attention, and saying that it will probably be the same for Rosetta (for the Mario series).

I thought you were on the right track, too, but the difference is that with all the new Pokemon, there's already 2 recurring characters from the original (still don't understand why they ever decided to put in Jigglypuff, but he has fans now, so whatever) and add in Mewtwo, there's already 3 reps who are well known. How many more will be put in? There's a lot of pokemon, but not a lot of slots for them. Now, Mario games, they'll have a lot of representation, Nintendo wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for Mario and all his shenanigans and friends/enemies.

You answered your own question daisy she is just peach in yellow and rosetta looks just like peach with a different hair style and a different dress.

If she becomes a somewhat prominent character in the next Mario games, she can be in the next Smash, but not in Brawl.
