Rolling - good or bad in this game?

I'm definitely in the 'never roll' camp, but I'm wondering if, in Smash 4, rolling better than before and actually not a bad thing to use often-ish. I'm trying to figure it out (have the demo), wondering what your thoughts are.

Rolling is fast, almost lagless, and you can roll straight after. Rolling is pretty close to overpowered in this one, at least for some characters.
