DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD UNLESS YOUR NAME IS IN THE TITLE!

Okay! All of these threads have the same OP so don't worry about reading over the other ones. This is a very straightforward concept, you just take turns writing a story. There are a few rules I'd like to set in order to make this as effective as possible.

1. NO OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION. This is a BIG rule. I want to see every little bit of the story's development in this thread. And no, talking about it on AIM and posting a log is not okay.
2. There is no out of context. Everything you put in here becomes part of the story you're telling. That means if you break down and get mad at your partner and cuss him out, one of the two of you will have to find a way to justify that happening.
3. Don't be a ****. Don't go out of your way to ruin other people's stories. In the same fashion, don't be 100% dedicated to only getting what you want done too.
4. Don't write a novel each post. This rule was something I had a hard time with since I am trying to make this as free range as possible. Just don't overwhelm your partner with more story than they can handle is what I'm getting at.

Knowing myself, I've forgotten some rule again. Refrain from posting in this thread until you're planning to start the story.

In the Land of Wasteland, there lived a city called Sand City. Many of its civilians were dark skinned and were able to deal with the harsh humidity of the sun. One apprentice swordsman though, by the name of 'Klou' grew tired of the same scenery. He wanted to see what the world could offer. All has is small stories from other travelers that visits the land. Many of the civilians thought he was foolish, for if he steps out of the land, the great sea shall devour him whole. The young male was not afraid to face the harsh sea.

It was then he packed his cloths, food and water, a map of the world, his skinning knife, and a good luck charm given by his mother. He said his farewell, and then marched on towards the sandy terrain. After a 20 minute walk, he makes it to the waters, where a male was offering boats for cheap. The boat was small, but sturdy. It was made of fine wood. Klou purchased one and then sets sail to west, for that's where land was, according to the map. The seas were calm and the scenery looked clear for most of the morning...

By noon, Klou saw a black speck growing on the horizon. It shimmered in the heat and he squinted through the glare and realized it was approaching. He could not guess its size with any confidence, but he knew by the multiple sails he must have some mass to it. Klou looked about him. His boat was small and had little to no accommodations; there was a single, slightly crooked mast with a patchwork sail crudely nailed to the center of the deck and two back up oars with notches dug into the sides of the boat to serve as propulsion and, beyond that, not much else save a bench and coils of rope beneath a plank near the bow. The wind was light and constant to the south and, having no real experience in navigation, Klou could do nothing but follow it. He hoped that the ship would either not notice him or, if it did, realize how insignificant he and his dinghy was and let him be.

But as his ship slowly tread through the sea, he noticed the the ship's stern slowly rotating with him. There was no no doubt. The ship raised a flag atop it's crows nest. It was white, with three red slashes cross its face. Klou lay low in his boat and held tight the handle of his knife and was pained by how small it was.

As the ship moved closer to his position, he wondered how he would handle the situation. They didn't look to be foe, for they would have no problem sinking his ship with the ship alone. There were several things to factor, but one thing was for certain: He was intimidated. The boat soon steer near his position and dropped the rope ladder near his boat. It seemed to be inviting, for no one has came down. Swallowing his fears, he grabbed his belongings and began to climb up, towards the deck.

Klou heard voices from above deck as he made his way up the ladder. The voices were rough, their throats worn down with screaming and hard liquor. He looked up to where the ladder draped over the side of the ship and saw a face looking down at him. It was the face of a woman. Though her face was shaded, Klou could already tell her beauty was beyond any woman he had seen before. Flaming locks of auburn hair cascading down about her shoulder. As Klou reached the top of the ladder, the woman reached out and helped him over the side. With his feet on deck he gathered himself and looked around. The crew, all that he could see, were women, gorgeous beyond his comprehension. Words stumbled out of his mouth, inebriated on their beauty.

'Hello. I... am Klou of the Waste, a simple man with no enemies. I must ask... why have you brought me upon your ship?' He made sure not to reach for his knife but felt it heavy upon his side.

As if staged, the women all laughed in unison. But it was not the light, musical laughter of comely women. It was a deep, graveled laughter. Laughter filled with smoke and poison and debauchery. Klou felt a great confusion rush over him and turned to the auburn haired woman who helped him onto the deck.

'Listen, sweetheart,' Her voice was low and frog-like, lacking anything that could remotely be defined as pleasant or melodious. 'I'm gonna cut straight to the point. We don't need you, per se, we just need a man.'

Klou's eyes shifted quickly among the dames before him. The auburn haired woman cocked her head and spit overboard.

'Thing is, me and my crew some how found ourselves on the bad side of what we thought was some mediocre sorcerer. Now, in earnest, I believe we may have misjudged both his skill and his sense of humor...'

'****in-a, Cap!'

'And now we're lookin' for a little bit of revenge. But we need a man; some one with a Scylla twix their legs stead of a Charbydis, to give you a sea-worthy analogy.'

Klou stood dumbfounded. The ship, the women, the voices, the story were all too much for him to understand. He looked at the auburn haired woman as she rubbed her tongue against the front of her teeth and pulled back her robe, revealing a scabbard and pistols upon her belt.

'Oh, forgive me,' she said, reaching out her hand, 'I forgot to introduce myself. I am Captain Charles D. Perineum, Scourge of the Western seas. Pleased to make your acquaintance Mister...Klou, was it?'

Klou reached out and shook his hand, still baffled by what was unfolding before him.

'Yes... Klou, of the Waste.'

'Well, Klou, you shake hands like a ****ing school girl.'

Klou then let's go of Perineum's hand and then gave out his answer. "Well Perineum, I'll-"

"Captain Perineum." She stated the 'captain' with confidence.

It was then Klou cleared his throat. "Ahem...Captain Perineum...I'll help you on your quest. Where has he headed."

"The coward headed west from here. It should take us a few hours to reach it. We'll dock up at this town I know once we're there."

"What's it called?"

"Searock Town. Cozy area, if I do say so myself. They have some nice ale there. Most of the men there 'think' they're good sailors, but they’re street rats, I tell you." It was then the captain gave off a hardy laugh. "Now then, just cause you're riding with us doesn't mean you get to goof off. You're working with us, so you got to pull your own weight around here."

"Very well," Klou said simply. "What do want me to do?"

"You can start by cleaning the floor. I'll have the women assign you work as we move along."

Throughout the entire trip, Klou began do to each task requested by the captain. Cleaning floors, checking the sails, any type of maintenance she thought the apprentice could do. One of the female pirates taught him the basic information about boats and how to use one correctly. Within a few hours, Searock Town was in view. As described, it seemed to be a quiet, cozy place. How a fearful Pirate like Perineum was able to visit this town was beyond Klou's understanding. It could be possible she doesn't make much of a ruckus in comparison to others like her. Once they docked, half of the female pirates got onto the docks while the other few, not including the captain, guarded the ship. Just as Klou began to dock, the captain tapped his back. As Klou turned to look at her, she was holding to what looked to be, a [urlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutlass] Cutlass[/url]

"If you're really going to help us," The captain began. "You're going to need a better weapon. You can't be taken out our problem with that butter knife you got there." The woman eyed the knife right by his hip.

It was then Klou took the blade and then placed the blade onto the other side of his hip. "You have my thanks, captain." It was then he gave a small smile.

"You're welcome. Just don't be showing it off to others. It May give them a bad idea." It was then that the woman began to walk past Klou and walk into town. "Look around a bit while I go find where our 'friend' is hiding. Just don't wander off too far, you hear me?"

As the captain walked further away, Klou began to look at the ocean and smiled. This is what he needed. He needed to see the world...to see what it really had to offer. All it offered him though was a task...and right now, he should make the best of it exploring this town before things pick up. With that in mind, he too began to enter the town. No doubt his brown pants and his light brown vest would make him stick out of the crowd.

Klou stood and watched the dames disappear into the crowd, weaving in and out of barons and thieves and hoodlums with the grace of prima donnas. He tried to follow but found himself a clumsy oaf, knocking into people's backs, accidentally elbowing people in the sides as he eeked by, spilling their drinks and apologizing before disappearing again within the sea of people.

He followed the dames to a tavern that reeked of debauchery. At the front door was an immense man who Klou immediately took for an idiot. The dames were arguing with him. He looked at them and shook his head. They pleaded and made up all sorts of lies for why they needed to get inside but the oaf was steadfast in his refusal. It was then that a darker skinned dame saddled up to the man and draped one long, sultry leg onto his lap and leaned over, revealing a cleavage so robust and perfect it made even the most fervent of godless men thank divine Providence. Her curves got the better of him and he followed her, hook, line, and sinker, out away from the door, letting the other dames sneak in out of his periphery. Klou trailed closely behind them.

Inside, the tavern smelled of hard liquor and iniquity. There was a large stage currently lit but empty and numerous red clothed tables strewn about the room. On the eastern side of the tavern was a long bar filled with about twenty men hunched over on their stools, drinking their respite. Klou spoke up to the woman in front of him.

'What about the lady out front? She's all right with-'

'Who, Speculum? Specks is fine. If anything, that ogre should be the one worrying.'

The dames made a bee line for the bar and yelled for the bar tender. They cursed and yelled and implied all sorts of sexual favors but it wasn't until they reached into their sashes and drew real tender that he made his way down the line and took their orders. The women ordered all sorts of alcohol Klou had never heard of; shots of Trafalgar whiskey, fifths of unflanged wormwood, a glass of Catarina Bitters, and a liter of fermented sunberries. The only liquor Klou had any familiarity with was Sagoyo, a hackneyed spirit made from spoiled cacus flesh that's striked and drained, and even then he thought it tasted like piss water.

The dames downed their liquor like some long sought antidote was in them. They leaned and belched upon the bar, scratching themselves without shame and uttering profanities that made their ancestors blush. Klou went up to the bar and hesitantly ordered a glass of water and got an odd eye from the bar keep, who slid him a glass and then made his way back down towards the other end of the bar. Klou took a sip when he heard a scream.

'Get your hands off of me!'

He turned and saw one of the dames, a petite blond with a very feminine, oval face, stand up and slap one of the men sitting next to her. The man stammered back, looking at her in disbelief.

'I ain't touch you.'

'You lecherous pig!'

The man looked at her and then at his hand, checking for blood; there wasn't much, but it was there. The man, a villainous looking man if Klou had ever imagined one, stood up from his table. He dwarfed the dame, easily two or three heads above her. He leaned over her, looking down his scarred and bulbous nose at this brash young woman.

'Now here, little missy, I don't take too kindly to insults and I warn you, I ain't above showing a woman the blunt end of an iron.'

Just as he finished the last word, the petite dame connected with a hay maker right at the base of the villains jaw. Klou heard a a loud pop and saw the man fall back, barely conscious, onto the table of some gamblers behind him, splattering the chips onto the ground like a summer hailstorm. There was a gunshot.

The woman closest to Klou spoke up as she rifled through her sash.

'Klou, was it?'

It took Klou a second to realize she was talking to him.

'Yes.'

'You ever been in a bar fight before?' She pulled several horrendously large gem laden rings from within the folds of her belt and quickly slid them onto her right hand and tightened it into a ball.

'No.'

'Well then, let's pop that cherry.' Klou awkwardly drew his cutlass from his side and the dame turned and sucker punched the nearest man she could.

While the pirates were more than eager to be on the offensive on any man that dared to challenge them, Klou had a different mindset. He had no desire to hurt or kill these men, despite the fact that they're possibly going to do the same. He’d rather kill them on self-defense than anything else. At this moment, it seems he was not obligated to leave this ground without some sort of bruising, so he'll have to make the effort to put up a fight.

That doesn't mean he wouldn't try and reduce the bloodshed though.

One of the male drinkers lifted a wooden chair so as to smack the black swordsman. He was easily dealt with by making the male whiff with the swing, and counter attacking with a swipe on his arm, and a shoulder shove, thus tumbling him over. Klou began to scan the room, so as to see if there’s anyone else who would try to kill him. To his right, he saw a male with a bushy moustache aiming his gun at Klou. Quickly, he raised the cutlass in front of him upright and faced the flat side of the blade towards the gunner, hoping to deflect it towards his gun hand. At his homeland, the children would train them to fend off bullets by using slingshots filled with rocks at them. Unfortunately, instead of deflecting it towards the user, it ricochets to one of the bar fighter’s throat. The male was leaking blood from both his mouth and throat. One glance at the victim told him one thing: He would need more practice. The gunman was then sucker punched by another male, to which made the gun fly off in a different direction within the chaos.

In an ironic twist, Klou himself was sucker punched by a chubby bearded male. The force knocked him towards the bartender table. With a groan, he tried to slice the male in a horizontal way, only to have the hand of the sword with his right, and the left delivered a punch to the face, thus letting his weapon drop to the ground. While Klou laid the upper portion of his body in a dazed state, the chubby male picked up the sword and soon brought it down towards Klou. Thankfully, he was able to see the attack coming and used his hands to hold the blade in place. There was a power struggle, but Klou managed to slip his upper body to the left so he could dodge it and respond with a head-butt and a right hook to the face. It made the male stagger back, but as Klou was pulling out the cutlass from the table, he spots the gun that was lost by the moustache gunner seconds ago. Klou sets his sights onto the chubby male and noticed the gun as well. The men raced over to the gun. The chubby male was inches away from the gun, but Klou slammed his weapon downward onto his fingers, resulting in four of his five fingers instantly cut off. The brawler cried in pain as he held onto his wrist. His fingers were shooting out like small volcanos. Klou then grabbed onto the guy with one hand and throwing him onto another brawler, who was about to sucker punch one of the dames.

Eventually, all the remaining ones, meaning the ones that could still move, were hesitant on taking on the girls or Klou. The few men that were alive bolted out the door, fearing for the worst outcome.

“Haha, look at those street rats run!” One of the dames called out, to which the few others laughed.

Klou, on the other hand, did not take much enjoyment of this even. Still, he chose to keep the dislike of it to himself. “We best get out of here and find the captain. She may have found the information by now.” And if nothing else, being on the move seemed like a good idea to him, but that’s cause he was being paranoid.

The front door to the tavern swung open. Klou and the dames turned and saw Specks, heaving and bent over her knees, and beside her Captain Perineum, flintlock pistol drawn and the barrel still smoking.

'Captain! We were just-'

'Shut your ***** traps.'

'But we-'

'I don't want to hear one goddamn word from the lot of you.' Klou was taken back by the savagery in Perineum's voice. That voice, so harsh and scalding like the call to fire from Pandemonium's greatest and most perverse minarets, yet to come from a figure so sublime and regal it held Klou in a stupor, wailing and bruising him as he lay defenseless. He found himself stepping back behind the dames, let them shield him from this tortuous contradiction.

A man in the corner with a knife in his should shambled back up to the seat of his table and was promptly shot through the heart by Perineum. The man fell again and did not rise.

'I leave you fish mongering lechers the smallest sliver of free will and you storm as the crow flies to the nearest urine soaked hell hole and start the ringing the bells of reckoning.' Klou stared at the dames, all their heads lowered sheepishly, unable to look in the remotest direction of their Captain. 'You children of anathema. You should praise what ever false and idolatrous gods you swear to that I'm competent enough to lead you. If this happens again..' Perineum waved his arm out from the corners of the room to the other, 'I promise you there will be no inch of earth or sea that will cover your scars adequate and even your **** will deny any relation. Am I understood?'

The dames did not move. Perineum looked over them and, accepting their tacit agreement, walked back out through the entrance. Specks hobbled after him and soon all the other dames ran to the door and out away from the carnage they left. Klou looked behind him at the violence and saw too many men lay killed and becoming so. Among them he also saw some of the dames, three in total, their backs strewn with knives and holes and their outfits red through their dyes. Klu whispered to the dame before him.

'What about your dead?'

'What about them?'

'Are you not going to bury them?'

The dame did not turn or slow. She sighed, her body not tired but her mind, and looked back at Klou through the corners of her eyes.

'Don't bury what don't matter.'

Klou looked again at the dead women draped over the splintered tables and bars. He did not remember their names and he did not ask and he followed the remaining women out the exit.

As the captain led her pirate crew to the west, many of the civilians within the town looked at them in quietness and fear. Many of their husbands and friends died or were wounded cause of them. Of course, being as to how many there were, none of them really wanted to fight them. Let alone, get revenge on them. For now, they just watched them leave towards the forest.

"While you girls were getting your drinks," Captain Perineum said almost bitterly. "I've found where that sorcerer is hiding...and he's got a few land lovers with him." Yes, the coward was able to somehow convince a bunch of men to help him. "Keep your blades sharp."

As they enter the forest, they did their best to cut on through the thick bushes and branches that were in their way. The captain halt their advances as they heard a slight break of the branches. Their eyes scanned around, though they didn't see anything. It was then several battle cries were heard from above. Five men dropped from the branches on them while four more from both sides charged over to the pirates with their guns, knives, and swords. The pirates, including Klou reacted with their own blades.

Fortunetly for the female dames, they began to quickly take control of the situation, as the men easily underestimates them. A thing they shall soon regret. Klou was able to make two stabs at two different guy's chest. Klou was about to de=head the third-to-last male, when he himself held up both of his hands over his shoulders.

"Wait lad, wait!" He cried. "I-I surrender! Please, let me live!" Just to show he was serious, he instantly dropped the knife he had in his right hand.

Klou glared at him with his brown eyes. "You swear to leave us in peace if I let you go?"

"Yes yes! I'm sorry, I swear!"

The swordsman stared him down. To him, he seemed to be telling the truth. Just as he put his cutlass away, a gun was shot. The bullet landed directly on the man that was about to be spared. Instead, his back is now planted on the soil. Klou looked, only to find the captain's gun letting off a bit of smoke.

"Why did you do that?" Klou was a bit dumbfound by the action. "He wasn't going to hurt us."

"I figured you were naive...but not stupid." Perineum said harshly. Merely she walked over to the corps and did her best to flip the male over to his stomach. At his back pocket, there was a handgun nicely tucked away. Klou felt like a fool once he put two-and-two together. Her eyes looked onto the fool before her. "Remember this day Klou, if you live to tell it: 'Thieves shall rob the blind, less you rob the Thieves' . You let them live, and they'll bite back like the Kraken. For your sake, I hope you hand don't quiver when it comes time to end his life." With the turn of her cape, she marched onward. "Let's keep moving."

The ladies marched on while Klou was taking a moment to look at the body...and then back at the group. It began to...make conflict with his belief. That belief was that he shouldn't end a life of another unless it was needed. Only the truly wicked should die. As much as he wanted to think on it, this wasn't the time. Klou then began to jog over to the girls, so as to catch up.

Within the next five minutes, they came across a small wooden fortress. Guarding the entrance were two men, both armed with a cutlass and two rifles. No doubt that this was the place where the sorcerer were hiding. The ladies themselves were hiding within the bush so as to come up with a proper plan.
