These posts always are awkward to type up. I've stared at this create thread screen for quite a while now. I guess it's a mixture of typing about myself, and how I'm typing about myself not to anybody in particular, just "the crowd". Whether just to find people to spam the c-stick against, or maybe take the steps into refining and improving my game, I figure this is the site to go to for finding people to chat and play with online.
I played a lot of Melee. My main there was Jigglypuff. My finger dexterity is not very good for the sort of things Melee demanded out of players, but Jigglypuff seemed to forgive a lack of technical ability. I wasn't great, or even good, but my results were at least "better" with Jiggs than any other character. That is to say, I managed to score a win or two while still not leaving the pools phase of tournaments. Not that I went to very many - the cost made it only a "sometimes" treat.
I skipped most of the Brawl era, but recently picked up Smash 4 Wii U. I'm trying to go back to using Jigglypuff again, but something about her is...unsatisfying now. Maybe it's because it's such a different game, but I'm not feeling great in how I play anymore. Though, every other character seems overwhelming to even learn, much less get good at, and with the whole new spread of things to figure out I'm not even sure what I want to do with myself now.
Outside of Smash, I've been playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate pretty intensely - 700 hours over 2 save files. I enjoy roguelikes, wizardry-style dungeon crawlers and, for better or worse, the Touhou series. My other tastes are usually for low-system-requirement niche games. Outside of games, I like baking (and most all cooking), philosophy, my reading list is to the point I need to get back on the book wagon, and ignoring everything about Game of Thrones.
