well if i post this in the ridely thread then I get a biased answer lol, I wanted to get the opinion of the wholeEh, depends on which community you ask. NeoGAF views the game a lot differently than we do. Either way, this is probably best taken to the Ridley thread.
Well, maybe the roster prediction thread is a better place then. A single character's chances shouldn't require two seperate threads, Ridley isn't that big.well if i post this in the ridely thread then I get a biased answer lol, I wanted to get the opinion of the whole
king; sorry I will turn the feature that makes you click on the thread off
The second premise is the predominant reason I still expect Ridley. I doubt he would allude to him if he wasn't playable, it wouldn't be deemed wise to hint at a stage hazard that most people in the West want playable.Honestly, I do expect him. I'll be shocked if Ridley gets shafted a third time.
Why?
A. Metroid deserves more than one rep. It just does. Different versions of Samus are still just the same character, and Ridley is the most reoccurring character in the series and has historical ties to Samus, killing her parents and whatnot.
B. Sakurai's Pyrosphere quote. If Ridley was just meant to be a stage hazard, it wouldn't've been a been deal to just show him when the stage was unveiled. I think Saky was teasing us.
C. The new villain factor. In Smash Bros, thus far we have villains from Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Star Fox, and Pokemon (assuming Mewtwo returns). There aren't many prominent series left to draw villains from. Of the original 8 SSB64 characters, only Samus and DK don't have their antagonists (if you consider Yoshi shares Bowser.
So yeah. Bring on that purple space dragon already.
I agree it would be kind of disrespectful esp since he makes sure people dont confuse AT as playable characters. I am just worried that He mainly cares about the jpn audience being jpn himself, ( the reveal dates usually pass up the eng release and get announced on the jpn date)The second premise is the predominant reason I still expect Ridley. Didn't stop him from having the most threads of any character during pre BrawlWell, maybe the roster prediction thread is a better place then. A single character's chances shouldn't require two seperate threads, Ridley isn't that big.
Oh, I know. That's exactly why we're trying to avoid it.Didn't stop him from having the most threads of any character during pre Brawl
That wasn't his point, his point was that Ridley IS that big.Oh, I know. That's exactly why we're trying to avoid it.
We want him to be scaled down, yo.That wasn't his point, his point was that Ridley IS that big.
