I've noticed in many of the matches on Isai's profile that contain a Jigglypuff (Purin) never seem to finish combos with Rest, instead going for an Nair or other nonlethal move. Anyone know why?

Rest is extremely weak in the Japanese version. Only kills at very high percentages, where pretty much any other move would do the job.

This could explane it, why do they make so many diffrances between *** and English games >_> the only diffrance should be how you read it

Yeah the resting is really stupid, jigglypuff has the worst moves.
the idea of rest doing damage is stupid to start with. but it is funny and rest is an awesome move...in the american version.

i often wonder why there is so much difference between the 2 versions.

edit: phew i nearly made myself sound like a dumb*** again.

Jiggs has excellent combo moves and has some of the easiest 0-death combos in the game. Rest should only be used at the end of your combo when you know your enemy has enough damage to be KO'd. Using rest without killing your opponent is dangerous because they can come back and p00n you. Jiggs also has excellent recovery and lightning fast grabs. That is why she is high in the mid tier.

The current "official" tier list was created by GameFAQs and is very dated. The Back Room, to my knowledge, doesn't bother with tier lists for Smash 64.
