respect for the original?

i read some of the leaks and i noticed one said that to honor the original they would make all the original unlockables unlockable again. i have no clue if it was disproved or not but i realized that the original release date for brawl was december 3rd, which was the same as melee. i know that has nothing to do with 64 but maybe they are doing some sort of respect thing?

I strongly believe that every character in the original Smash Bros is in, and that all the unlockables are once again unlockable. In other words, C. Falcon, Jigglypuff, Ness, and Luigi.

Speaking of respect to the original, I noticed that they took the Mario VS. Kirby battle from the first one's intro...

...and used it for the first Subspace battle.

They also used the fire from the same intro [Time:1.23] and used it for the Dojo's logo:

They seem to have a degree of Melee respect, too, in that the whole trophy-thing is played into Subspace's storyline.

I hope they respect the original in more ways than one...a lot more than Melee did hopefully.

I noticed that too.

Also, notice that Mario still has the same stance?
