Resident Evil 5 Trailer. . .

Did anyone else manage to catch the newly-released full version of the E3 trailer? Here's a link, if you're interested:

Now, the next logical question is, what the **** is going on here?

My first impressions:
-Glad they're sticking with the RE4 controls, but that's not really a surprise to anyone.
-****, those guys are fast! And they seem much more "sophisticated" than the ganados of RE4. Also, it looks like there will be more dodge commands than in RE4, based on the speed of the enemies and the cool moves that Chris pulled on them.
-Current weapons that look available: Standard handgun and a shotty (no surprise), but an AK-47?!?

What do you guys think about the new trailer?

It looks good, I have RE4 for my GC and it's certainly one of the best games I've ever played for it.

When I saw the RE5 trailer, I was impressed that they could put more people on the screen at once so it made you feel more 'surrounded/overwhelmed'. The graphics have certainly improved greatly and it's nice to see that they kept the "over shoulder aiming" from RE4.

The game looks good althrough no release date has been announced yet. I hope it has Co-Op!

I'm a bigger RE fan than Smash :/

-I'm fine with the sameish controls though they could freshen up some of the animations.
-Enemies seem so numerous it looks like its going to tense me up a good number of times.
-Girl at the end of the trailer is speculated to be most likely Sherry Birkin from RE2.

From watching it on TV in true HD, the game looks amazing. I have a feeling it's gonna be extremely tough with so many enemies on screen at the same time. D: (I downloaded it off XBLM )

Yeah, the HD part is what has me the most excited right now. Playing Resident Evil Wii Edition in 480p on my 1080p set just doesn't do it for me, even though it still looks pretty nice. A 1080p RE game in full surround sound is gonna be an amazing experience.

I saw the trailer on GameSpot, but I'm downloading to my 360 as we speak.

When surrounded by 10 or more enraged African citizens, running away is a viable option

Two other things I've noticed/heard:
-Light and darkness look like they will be a larger in-game element this time around. I mean, just looking at the contrasts between the light scenes and dark scenes, there's a world of difference. Maybe it's just the HD lighting in effect, but still, that's what I think.
-If you pause the video at around 2:05, or maybe a little before then, there's a guy with a turban-like wrapping around his whole face, carrying a giant scythe-like object. A new chainsaw guy, perhaps? A similar character is seen destroying a balcony support beam around 2:15.

Downloaded the vid yesterday of PSN. Looks like a **** movie. I can't wait.

I wonder if, since it'll be on PS3 and 360, if they will add downloadable content or an online mode. HMM...

I played Resident Evil 4 off the PS2 on my 50" 720.. sucks because you can see ALL the textures that AREN'T there..

But the trailer looks just sooo great. Really looking forward to this.

Just watched the trailer and holy ****ing ****. It looks AMAZING. Between this, Brawl and MGS4, it's gonna be a good time for games.

I'm freaking giddy as a schoolgirl now!! :D

I concur it looks great, and I think Chris looks like a better main character than Leon(punch>kick). I think the environment looks like it could be much more frightening and tense than the Spain. I didn't find Resident Evil 4 to be that frightening, or difficult, but it was fun, and it seems that Resident Evil 5 will improve on these areas.

Well, we've got a long time to wait for it, since it comes out sometime in 2008, hopefully around the time RE4 did, but that's probably not gonna happen.

I really hope that RE5 has just as much extra content as RE4 did, what with the Mercenaries and all the extra Ada missions you could do. That'd be freakin' sweet.

But first thing's first, we have to think about what exactly could be going on here. There's no doubt Wesker's tied into it somehow, because Chris is there, but the question still stands. What do you think is ravaging these villagers?
