Smash 3DS Reset Bomb Forest glitch?

I was just playing against some CPUs with only the Smash Ball on and something weird happened on this stage. PAC-MAN triggered his final smash at the same time as the stage was starting to transition into the second part and the other two CPUs sort of fell through the floor and got stuck in the KO zone, one ran all the way to the left and the other just stood there. I myself also fell through the right side and obviously tried to recover but I couldn't grab the edge or stand on the platforms. It didn't actually KO anyone for a few seconds as we were under the stage. Then when we got into the second part of the stage there were like ghost platforms for a few seconds just above where the actual platforms are.

I tried replicating it in Training but the background just freezes when I trigger the final smash. I unfortunately have a really crappy computer so I don't think I can provide a video... :/ But I guess if no one else is able to do it either it's probably too rare to be a real problem.

It wouldn't be much of a problem anyway since final smashes are never used competitively.

What about Nintendo-sponsored tournaments though? Don't they use items? I haven't watched recent ones but at E3 at least they did, not sure if they even use this stage though.
