Smash Lord
Of all the Sonic characters, Metal Sonic definitely comes the closest to Sonic's moveset. I had a few ideas for a one-slot Metal Sonic that should be relatively easy to implement to my knowledge.
* SFX removal and/or substitution. For the most part, this will just be removing Sonic's voice from the slot. Metal Sonic has very few unique noises but they should be accessible here (from Sonic Adventure 2)
* GFX additions if possible. Metal Sonic has a "Black Shield" barrier that he can place around himself that would work nicely as a GFX over Sonic's Down-B or Side-B (preferrably one and not both). See images below if you are not familiar with the Black Shield.
* (optional) Animation changes. Metal Sonic's dash would have him floating, and his Black Shield move would have him upright at all times throughout, so those would be nice to put in.
