Over 100 replays saved on the Wii U version - and of course, my carelessness of forgetting to disable auto software updates has made the replays obsolete.

However, I want to cling to the light of hope that I will be able to save that FG FFA replay of KSing a purist CF's falcon punch at the last moment and many more.

Do you guys think there would be the option to store the blocked out replays into the SD card in a future patch so they could be stored via computer?

Yes this was a thing with the 3ds as well even before the wii u version released. It sucks and there is no way to view them on a computer anyway since replay isn't really a video format.

Just found this out for myself the hard way. Don't get hasty and delete all your uncompatible replays. A game downgrade would render your replays viewable again, although i'm not exactly sure how that process works. This may be addressed in the future; either by modders, or Nintendo themselves. For now we'll just have to video capture our replays before updates.

It depresses me that my video capture device came in the mail the day the update was in. I was appalled and upset when I pressed the game icon to see the message: "Software updated".

The way you worded that doesn't really motivate me to keep my replays. I think a typical solution is to know a friend who hasn't updated his game and send the replays to him to record and have him/her send them back.

I wish Nintendo would throw us a bone. They must be punishing us for Brawl's modding.
