Replay File to Video Capture Exchange.

I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the video/media subfourm, but since i'm not actually posting a video or anything, but merely suggesting a way that users can get their videos and replays uploaded directly vs having to record it via phone or camera, I figure it should belong here, but if i'm wrong, if a mod could move it for me instead of locking it, that'd be great.

Anyways, so:

My understanding of how Smash 3ds replays works is that they are saved as files to the SD card that stores the inputs of the fighters, which are then re-loaded and "played back" for you when you view a replay in game. Because of that, it's not possible to view replays on a computer.

However, it SHOULD be possible for us to back up a copy of a replay to our computer from the SD card, send that file over to somebody who has a capture card, have them play it back and record it, then send the video file back to the person who sent the replay to begin with or upload somewhere for that person.

In essence, this would allow users who don't have a means to capture gameplay a way to get direct footage of their matches, similar to what Bungie did for halo 3 and reach with Bungie Pro. So my question here is, is somebody with a capture device for the 3ds willing to test this with me, and if it works, could we turn this into a thread where people can upload their replay files, and users with capture devices can record them and upload them for them? Maybe this could even be stickied like the Friend Code thread!

Problem with that wish is however nice it would be to share our replays, the 3DS wouldnt allow it except direct-linking from local play. Lack of ports is the culprit for no computer-backing.
Really dont get why the New 3DS didnt come with a micro HDMI port or something so those of us who didnt mod with a capture card can at least record our replays in good quality. I mean, the PSP has it......so not like its impossible lol

So does copying over the replay file from the SD card not work?

Oh man I could only imagine how bogged down people with capture-cards would be, with the amount of people requesting their replays (if this was even possible)
