Hey, I was looking through some hacks, and I was wondering if anyone had one that lets you keep your normal colors in a team brawl. Is there any way to do this other than texture hack? Thanks!

Unfortunately, Team Brawl colors are designated within the colors used for regular brawl; e.g. FitDiddy00.pcs is his normal costume and also happens to be his red costume. However, FitDiddy02 and 03 are green and blue respectively, and if you replace those it changes them on the normal list AND on the team selection. There is no way to have one FitDiddy02.pac for 1v1 / FFA and a different, unmodified or not, one for teams.

While Andarel is correct, you CAN use Almas' Clone engine code.

Thanks. I guess I should be more specific:
I'd like to make the character's default costume act as their red costume in all cases (Luigi stays green, Sonic stays blue, etc). I'm not sure what the bytecode for this would be. It would be a bonus if I could specify alt costumes as a different team color (Fire Mario/Luigi when selecting green team).

Tsk, now that's a project. It is possible, and actually very easy; however, it is an extremely time-consuming process.

To go about it PERFECTLY, you would need to change the costume .pcs file with the file replacement code. For example:

Sonic:
Get FitSonic00.pac from wherever (mediafire, the iso itself, whatever) and rename it to the read team's number (check the texture thread for that information). Put it in SD:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/sonic/. If you want to really go for it, open common5.pac and swap the portraits, stock icons, then go to your .brres battle portraits and rename them to swap them, etc. etc. Repeat for victory portraits. That will make Red Team pick blue Sonic.

Do the same for the rest you want to change. It's simple because you don't need to make anything new, but it's a lot of work.
