So I just woke up, and an idea came to me! Forgive me if this has been mentioned many times before...

Do you think that, in Brawl, you will be able to switch what pokemon come out of the pokeballs? I wanted this feature to appear in Melee, but I never saw it. I think that if they did this, pokeballs and AT's could be much better, and the items in the game would be improved in general.

Like, let's say you don't want Goldeen. Switch. Gone.

Do any of you guys like this idea? Do you think Sakurai and his immense team have thought of it- Or maybe even done this already? Post your opinions here.

Ah...how would that work? ;| You get to switch pokemon until you get the best one?

I always thought that would be a neat little feature in melee. And now with Assist Trophies it would be even more useful.

I'd imagine it'd be a menu further into the Item Switch, where, instead of just turning off Pokeballs/ATs, you go into this submenu and you can either turn them all off (just like you can with items), or just turn off individuals.

This would allow Legendary Pokemon Battles (like the Event match) and would rid of annoying ATs like the Nintendog and Devil

I agree partially, War Raichu is right when it comes to annoying ATs. But I'd rather that didn't happen, I mean, the fun is in getting the rarities, or the strong Pokémon/Characters by chance. It's all down to pot luck, and surprise. I like that, and okay, even if it is an annoying one, have a sense of humour haha. It makes things a helluva lot more chaotic, and interesting for everybody ^^'.

Exactly.

After customizing your options with the normal item switch, you go further, possibly by pressing "R." ("L" would take you back to time/stock/coin/whatever. Or, if you were on that screen, R would take you to item switch.)

Then you get the list of all Pokeballs and AT's.

Getting rid of some Pokemon would be great. *Goldeen.* *Wobbufet.*

Yes, well, what if there was a pokemon that was extremely powerful and, no matter what, you always died when it came on? Or one that made the game laggy? OR anyhting like that?

In fact, I believe that it would be more like the games; You get to choose what pokemon you take with you.

On another note, I wanna see Ivysaur, Charizard, and Squirtle holding pokeballs.

I don't really have a problem with ones that are duds, like Mr. Resetti, Goldeen, and to an extent, Wobbuffet. It's the ones that actually mess with your ability to play, like the vision-blocking Nintendog and Devil. They're almost exactly like Togepi's Night Shade, which I fear of getting every time I hear the dreaded "Toki-breeee!" :p

Sakurai brags of having thought of everything? We better see this feature, then. ;)

I just wanted a legendary Pokemon only mode like that one challenge in Melee.

If your switch idea is true, my Gardevoir fanboyishness is going to force me to have a Gardevoir-only brawl.
