Reflected Shadow Ball went through me without damaging me

At the start of the game I threw a fresh fully charged Shadow Ball and a Dark Pit reflected it and then I reflected it and then Dark Pit reflected it while I up taunted and it went right through me without damaging me at all during the up taunt.
