Prize payout:
1-7 people: Winner takes all (No 2nd or 3rd)
8-11 people: 80/20 Split (No 3rd)
12+ people: 65/25/10 Split



Rules

10 minute time limit

* 3 stock

* Best 2 of 3. Finals will be best 3 of 5

* Items set to off and none.

* If time runs out during a match, Sudden Death will not be play. The winner woud be the one with the most stock. However, if it was a stock tie the decision will be Sudden Death.

* Metaknight's Infinite Cape glitch is banned.

* Dedede's standing infinite is banned unless it's against a wall.

* Stalling is banned.

* BYOC (Bring your own controller,controllers will NOT be provided from the venue)

* Stage/character/side change can be chosen by the losing party mid-set, winning party does NOT change character.

I might be able to go to this actually... It's the day after I'm in Brooklyn so if I crash there, won't make it. I'll go to others though if I miss this one.

There is ZERO reason for me to not play in this though. It's 10 minutes from my house...(I live on Sicklerville road, which intersects Black Horse Pike at multiple points). Someone should totally come train with me <.<;;

I'd go to this if the rules weren't blah and the turnout isn't blah...

Matches will never finish if 8 minutes are allotted for 4 stock matches. They already can go to the timer with 3 stocks.

The stages are okay, but round 1 should be played on a less whacky stage ie: Battlefield/Final D/Smashville

The counterpicking system should allow for the winner to change characters.

I suggest talking to the owner of the store and maybe sending him a link or two with what are generally the accepted rules in the community. Write him an e-mail saying "If you make the tournament using standard rules, more people will come". Hopefully enough people attend this so that someone with competitive smash experience (Chibo is nearby) shows up.

PS: How far is this from Glassboro? (Oh wow. an hour along the Atlantic City Expressway. Ummm..... yeah.)

The TO on AllisBrawl has an account with the name of the venue. He also posted this in the regular tournament listings on Smashboards, but he didn't put it in regionals. He apparently updated the ruleset on his AllisBrawl post but not his other Smashboards post in regular tournament listings. I am assuming the AIB one is the most up to date one.

From when I was 13 until 16 I was pretty avid about using proper grammar online, and then I started reading Dinosaur Comics. Now I can be immature while using proper grammar! It's pretty much the best.

But yeah I'm not going to this, I just think it's pretty great.

But if anyone like 13-16. wanna play Melee/Brawl, I'm in Blackwood. They have a new thing at the Voorhees Library, they have Melee and Brawl setup in this corner thing thats new there. 13-18 are allowed in, so yeah.

Stock tie decision should become percent difference, with lower percent winning. Percent tie results in a 1 stock reset.

* Stage/character/side change can be chosen by the losing party mid-set, winning party does NOT change character.

Winner should be allowed to change characters.
