Theres a snake in my boots!
This evening I finally finished rockstar's Red Dead redemption for the Xbox360. Normally i am not a fan of rockstar story lines or The habbit they have of a basic, go here now go there, now shoot this mission system. I hated This element of GTAIV simply because its been done, time and time and time again by the same company basically making the same game in a new setting. But Red Dead Redemption was far from the Grand Theft auto with horses. Rock star pulled out all the stops with this one, amazing gorgeous landscapes, Amazing weapon selection and collection rewards and a lot of side game play and bonus Features that will keep you playing this one for awhile. Things like Outfits, Horses (Different breeds provide Different attributes, breaking them can be tricky), Duels, hours of bounty hunting and ACTUAL hunting, Skinning animals and bringing back whats left to town can get you a lot of cash in a quick fashion.
But what rockstar brought to the table this time... was character. I Didnt realize until the end of this game how attached i was to the main character. his personality, his flaws, his dreams, and his past. Rockstar really made me feel for this character. Thats something they have NEVER done for me in GTA or other titles. And its not even just the main character that has this affect on you, the main antagonist of this game is only present for the last two hours of play and you have a soft spot for him by the time its said and done. I honestly loved almost all the characters that played a large role in this game.
Basically my intent was making this thread was for one, General discussion and to give people an idea of what they can expect if they are looking to try this game out.
