Can you grab (with Z) to recover instead of Up+B? Has anyone tried this yet? Olimar's Up+B isn't that great, but what about this method? Also, if someone is edgehogging, can you throw a pikmin at them to make them release the ledge and then Up+B it?

I'm sure you can, but tossing a pikmin will shorten your chain.

nope... honestly if you are far under and last resort = chain and you have someone edge hogging, you better hope you have a purple pikmin handy or have some way to kill your opponent on your way down, cause you are f'd. I main olimar and Ive had the import since a day after release, recovery with olimar is bad... plain and simple, throwing pikmim is the best solution for someone that edge guards cause it will knock them off, as soon as it does use your up+b. Thats the only advise I have.
