I have to say, the new series based on Red vs. Blue is epic. I checked the search, and there hasn't been anything about Reconstruction as far as I know, so I'm posting this topic so us RvB fans can talk about it. I only started this RvB thread because this is the only forum I visit on a regular basis, and thus I won't just have one post somewhere else and never go there again.

Just watched chapter 16 this week, EPIC PLOT TWIST! For all posters, if you're going to say something with spoilers, please make it clear you are going to do so.

I guessed they'd pull something like that a few episodes back when
Wash wasn't that suprised at all to see "ghost-church"

Also, I think it'd be a safe bet that after
sarge told Simmons to "delete all the blues" from "the internets and tubes"
that more than likely soon
church'll be deleted and the others will go into a computer looking for him.

Well, there probably will be problems when
wash and church find out the reds are planning to delete blues. I'm not sure if they'll actually succeed, but we'll just have to find out.

Btw, here's how I think
Church became the Alpha.

Before the start of the whole red vs. blue series, Church joined the army. Project freelancer needed someone to put the alpha in, so they randomly picked Church. Now, they must have put in the alpha during what would appear to be a maintenance/check-up thing on him. I think the reason he didn't know he had an AI was that, since the alpha had shed its anger and memories and stuff, the AI wasn't very active. I also think that over time, the alpha was learning about Church and was slowly copying his mind and personality. That would explain why church still acted like Church after Caboose killed him. Of course, this means that the real Church has been dead for a while, and the Alpha has been doing exactly what the real church would do if he was alive.

Thx for not closing my thread :)

Except I'm pretty sure that
Caboose didn't kill him, because church was an AI. Pretty sure he's been an AI since day 1.

Well, he does remember that Tex was his girlfriend and he remembers his past, so that's what led me to think that
he hasn't been an AI all his life. If he was, I don't think he could have developed a realistic personality. I could be wrong, but I think my explanation before is the most likely.

What I meant was,
the organic Church was killed.

Sadly, they haven't posted chapter 17 yet, so now we have to wait even longer to find out how it really goes down.

*sorry for double posting*

Unfortunately, chapter 17 created more questions instead of solving the other ones everyone had. I mean,
they still haven't explained how Church became the alpha. Since he had a real body and memories of his life before Reconstruction, it's going to be kind of hard to explain. If they do manage to explain it, what has happened to the real Church? That Church must be somewhere else doing something completely different for all of this to make sense.

Man, we need to get some more people in on this conversation.

Not to mention Wash's lack of knowledge on what exactly Texx is.
I know. Wash doesn't give a crap about anything but his mission. He doesn't care about how Church feels about the "truth".

One more thing, they need to bring Tex back sometime in the next few episodes (hopefully there will be another episode after the next one).

Reconstruction was necessary to curtail the racism of the south
