The reason for this is because I want to take quality speakers, dissect them and implant them in workshop protective earmuffs. Creates a isolated environment, almost a 0% ambient noise, the sound is clearer and I wont have to turn up the volume if people are watching TV or chatting behind me.

So with that in mind what I want to be paying for:
-max price range of $50 or so. I'm in Canada so don't source places like Target.
-Quality Crisp sound, (bass is not the focus, so don't recommend skullcandy).
-Headphones that are at least 40mm, headphones that are generally over-ear, not on-ear.

what i don't need to be paying for:
-Visual appeals (graphics and cool-looking features)
-Comfort of band or cushion.
-durability of product (meaning how well it can take a beating, i take care of my things)

erm, headphones, not headset. headsets got a different plug so the wiring is also not the same.

i can't afford that, OP says max of 50$.

Call me cheap, but I don't even have a job in the first place and am in school where money is consumed often

just need decent quality speakers, no need for the luxury.

serious? I have those already haha, irony.

I remember there was a larger model by sony. Looked alright for $25, but i do see many negative comments about them on amazon. Plus i tried my friend's pair on and the richness was lacking for such a massive sized earcup.

However there was this one pair i've been interested in knowing more about, the Extra Bass Headphones by Sony. Yes i know this falls out of my criteria but consider this an exception. Anyone know much about this pair?

Is that silver plastic? because it looks like aluminum.

EDIT: I forgot to add this one too. I see this on everyone's heads at school these days. I didn't know about its existence beforehand, but i took a stab and google guessed retro headphones, and I was right.
Seen many good reviews but I've yet to hear someone say something bad about it.
