Really Need Help against Snakes

I was facing a Snake the other day and got completely owned. I could barely land a scratch on em or even a kill. I have problems getting back on stage from all the snake sliding hes doing. Any pointers? Im a fairly good kirby, i know the basics like bairs, dairs, and the combos invented by Gonzo and t!mmy.
