really lost... need help!

to start off I don't know much about wii's, my wii has homebrew and wiiflow and usb configurer and all those download things. First can I use a USB drive over 2gb to download pm 3.0? do I need brawl to run 3.0? what format USB do I need to run pm? thanks guys.

I need you to be more specific. Do you actually have a copy of Brawl lying around somewhere? You can't run Project M with only a USB on Gecko OS; you're gonna need an SD Card regardless. Gecko OS won't read anything off a USB. Riivolution might work though, but again, you need a copy of Brawl on hand.

I dont have a copy of brawl that works, my little brother scratched it up pretty bad.

You'd need the ISO then, which I of course can't tell you how to get since it's illegal and all. You could just go buy or borrow another copy, or somehow obtain the ISO and place it on a flash or hard drive big enough (Brawl ISO is about 7-8 GB). Regardless, you DO need a copy of Brawl.
