The icon theory doesn't say anything about there being a limit to the icons

the entire (alphabetical) icon theory has always been a stupid fan-made thing. its filled with so many holes and inconsistancies, it isn't funny. first they try and make it alphabetical by making it the series franchise in romaji (which makes no sense BTW, since the japanese NEVER spell in romaji. its either english or japanese text.) that was later disproven, but noooooo, the icon theory people STILL didn't give in. then they said the rest were named after the romaji of the MAIN CHARACTER, which STILL makes no freaking sense. and when you thought they couldn't get any worse, when sonic was revealed, they said it was the last one. yet it was not the last one, since the DS icon owned the entire theory. basically, the alphabetical theory went like this

64 debuts in alphabetical order> melee debuts in alphabetical order> brawl debuts in alphabetical order.

and ALL of them have inconsistancies. anyway, the DS icon came, and owned the theory, since it was a brawl debut, but didn't go in order. so you know what they do next? they desprately make the theory go like this:

64 debuts> melee debuts> brawl debuts> HARDWARE

Tirkaro pretty much explained it all.

It isn't in alphabetical order. The only pattern is that 1-11 are series that premiered in Smash 64, 12-14 are series that premiered in Melee, and everything else is series that WILL premiere in Brawl. That's the only pattern there. None of each section is in alphabetical order, nor as a new section of hardware icons has been made (if it is, then ****, the roster would be dull as hell if only that much series premiered).

None of them have icons unless they have a playable character...or in the least a stage...though I assume they might all have playable characters
