READ THIS! New Social Room Info

You may have noticed that some of the other regional zones have an accompanying social room attatched to them. Hopefully by the end of the day Southwest will have one as well.

I already outlined how the social room will work in a sticky there that will appear as soon as the room goes live.

What's going to happen here when the room opens is I'll move any "social" thread (i.e. a thread not tied to a specific tournament) over to that room, with a redirect from this forum to that one that'll last a day or a week or something.

That means that every " *insert x city/region/state* thread" will be moved over.

Since some of these threads also include info on specific tournament series (HOBO and PBT come to mind but there are probably others). I'd like the TO's for those specific events to create new topics in here for them. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you want a thread for each specific tournament (like a thread for hobo 14 and then a thread for hobo 15 later) or if you want to just make one thread dedicated to the tournament series. I'd ask that you please wait until everything gets moved over before making these topics. I'm just letting you know ahead of time what will be happening and giving you time to decide how you want these new threads to work.

If you take suggestions. I think the social room should be on the forefront of the regional board, and that the tournament section be in the "inferior level" room.

The social room will most likely be getting the most activity, which is why I think this makes sense.

But tournaments really are SWF's #1 priority-- I believe that it should be kept as a subforum per each regional zone.

While I agree with Xsyven on this, if the social room completely dwarfs the tournament room in activity maybe we could see about changing things around.

Still, a big part of this change is about making tournaments easier to find for people that might not know exactly where to look. Hiding it in a sub forum kinda defeats that purpose.
