Developer: Ubisoft Montpellier
Platform: Wii U
Genre: 2D Platformer
Release: TBA
Official Website: http://rayman.ubi.com/legends/en-US/home/index.aspx

Ubisoft Montpellier is making a sequel to last year's Rayman Origins. It features gameplay similar to Origins' 2D style and has a new lighting system to give characters a 3D look.

So far, the game is confirmed for Wii U and features Murfy, who makes his first playable debut. Using the Wii U gamepad, a player controls Murfy to manipulate the environment and can help or hurt players as well as interact with the foreground and background. Globox and the 2 Teensies from Origins return as payable characters as well, meaning that up to 5 people can play the game at once.

Other than Pikmin 3, this looks like the best game for the Wii U right now. Even better than NSMBU. I just hope it has as much Miiverse integration as NSMBU seems to boast, which really seems to add to the replay value and quality to Wii U games.

Also interesting that the Undead seems to be a focus again as enemies, seems that the fantasy enemies they boasted to be appearing aren't the focus.

Yea, I'm definitely looking forward to this and Miiverse integration would be great. I'm also surprised that they've expanded on the Land of the Livid Dead; I may have lost countless lives on that area in Rayman Origins, but as long as they have fresh new things to offer I don't mind dying there again. :bee:

I beat Origins, quite easily really (the game doesn't have lives and it is a lot of trial and error and learning the map layout, like a typical platformer), but I haven't gotten all of the teeth. Not sure it is worth going through trying to get the last 30 or so Pink Lums to get them.

It also seems like Pink Lums are not in this one, at least not as secret things to collect, in the footage I've seen they are just secret areas to save people or collect normal lums.
