So I made this for the Ubers tourney and now that it's over (or at least for me), I thought I could get it rated.
Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Atk / 32 Def / 8 Spd / 60 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
Basically Groudon comes in and sets up SR. Then I use T-wave for paralyzing and what not. Depending on what's out, I could either use Dragon Claw to take out those pesky dragon types or I could use EQ for anything else.
Dialga @ Expert Belt
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 224 HP / 32 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
Dialga can come in on water types like Kyogre and Thunder it to death, or I could come in and use FB on pokemon such as Shaymin. Draco Meteor serves to take out dragon types that can switch in like Palkia, Giratina or another Dialga. EP.... well I have that in for filler reason, seeing as I never really use it.
Jumpluff (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 188 Def / 252 Spd / 68 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
- Substitute
- Encore
With Jumpluff monstrous speed, I can basically do either one of 2 things. I could put it to sleep first and start stalling with leech seed/substitute until the pokemon dies, or I could put it to sleep first and if I notice the person won't switch to another pokemon, I can just switch in my Mewtwo and start using Calm Mind till the cows come home. I can also do the same thing with Encore, ONLY IF if the pokemon is locked into a stat raising move, where I can switch into my Mewtwo and start doing the same thing.
Deoxys-A @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder
Deoxys-A can come in an sweep a team. I can use Thunder to take out any water types. I use Ice Beam mostly for Shaymins or Groudons. Shadow Ball serves mostly to take care of Giratina. One would say that switching in to Giratina is pretty stupid, but with Focus Sash, I can ensure I won't get OHKO and at least try to 2HKO it. Thing is, sometimes that doesn't work and the person happened to make their Giratina bulky enough that it won't be 2HKO it with SB. Grass Knot can also be for taking out anything that's weak to grass... yeah
Wobbuffet (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 28 HP / 228 Def / 252 SDef
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Safeguard
Wobb.... well we all know what Wobb does right? But if you don't then I can keep anybody in with shadow tag and encore it. Then depending on whether the attack it's locked into is physical or special I can MC/Counter it to death. If it locks into a non damaging move, then well.... it's time to start stalling or switch out.
Mewtwo @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Ice Beam
Mewtwo can switch into a pokemon that's been encored/sleep powdered and start using CM to start raising it's stats. If a Darkrai is out, my higher speed can basically guarantee that I'll get aura sphere to hit first, ensuring a KO. Ice Beam, if I'm all out of options (and by that I mean if Mewtwo is the only one left in the party), I can TRY to KO Giratina with IB, though that's not very likely
So first thing you can tell: my team has a glaring weakness to Ghost-Types. Sure, I have Deo A to take care of them, but come on. I've tested it out with a Focus Sash and the Shadow Ball DOES NOT OHKO Giratina among other ghost types the first turn I use a lot of the time. Normally I wouldn't have that much of a problem with Giratina, but most of the ones I've faced off use Shadow Sneak, so they're always faster.
Other than that, my team doesn't have that many problems... or I think it doesn't. So anyways, suggestions plox on improving this team?
