Random Character Switch

Sometimes there are characters I don't want to play against when I am doing random free for alls. Would there be an easy way to create a patch that allows for random character switch?

I like the idea of not ending up with certain characters better. But I mean, I have a pretty sweet Mario now because of picking random to help my friend get better by me not picking any of my 15ish mains.

edit: yeah 15 once Yoshi is released
