He did this to me in a wifi match a while ago that got DC'd by Nintendo (no replay >_<). Basically here's how it went:

- I was shielding near edge, he dropped a bomb.

- He crouched, canceled the bomb and immediately jumped. I'm still in shield.

- Bomb explodes, knocks me off the level and he caught me with a dair.

I messed around with it and it works even if they aren't shielding. Yes I know, lots of setup time that's the drawback. If you land it though (w/ decent %) you're probably getting a kill.

If this was mentioned a while back, I'm not trying to claim this. Raigoth did this to me, I'm just noting how awesome it was.

yeah especiall if you are at the edge. Rolling towards the edge wouldn't get you anywhere, and rolling the other way is just painting yourself with a red target.

Fine, then jump out of your shield and escape. Or, if he doesn't move from where the bomb has been laid, screw attack out of shield.

I only said to roll at first because I thought that jumping would set yourself up to be spiked anyways.

Yeah, it sounds cool and all, but it seems more like a silly mistake since it takes almost a whole second to set up the combo. That's four times longer than necessary to make a proper reaction.

Well given that now we know that it can work, it is worth considering, especially if you are doing it on purpose. could be used to force a reaction since there aren't that many that close to the edge that you wouldn't be able to read.

No one's forcing you to use it :p Like I said before, if you can't figure out how to make it work then leave it out of your game.
