What do people/tournaments use the most on the screen settings?
4:3 or 16:9?

At tournaments you'll be playing almost exclusively in 4:3 because there won't be any widescreen TVs. They'll all be old, and usually small, CRTs.
But you should always pick the ratio is that is right for whatever TV you're playing on. 4:3 for regular "square" TVs and 16:9 for widescreen TVs.
