Quick question about Metaknight

I've noticed sometimes that when you do his Uair attack metaknight ascends with it, and sometimes he doesn't. This seems like it could be useful. Does anyone know what makes him ascend? Is there a specific time you have to start Uairing?

It sounds like you're just timing his extra jumps to match with his fair. It's happened to me sometimes, and found it especially useful when I managed to time it right.
