I have a wii with hombrew installed, and a SD card with 4GB memory space.
Now, will it still be possible to run PM without any additional hindrance?

No. Unless you have a non-SDHC (i.e. 2GB or less) card, things will get extremely annoying if you don't know what you're doing.

2+gig cards work fine. What are you talking about.
