Quick question about Falco's Shine against Fox.

Soooo, I've been trying to do this thing where you shine a Fox out of his Firefox mid-launch, but can't seem to land it.

I think I recall seeing Mango land it on Leffen a while back but can't seem to land it whenever I attempt to.

I'm certain I'm just doing something wrong, but, is doing this possible?

Do you mean before he starts flying or while he's in the charging fire animation? Not sure what "mid-launch" means. If it's BEFORE he starts moving, it might be useful to know that there's no hitbox on the move 10 frames before he starts moving (frames 33 - 42). This means that even without ledge invuln, if you hit him RIGHT before he starts moving, you can get a free shine for a bair or dair.

As for after frame 42, when he starts moving - I've never shined a fox out of the moving part of firefox myself (I would probably try to cover it with a bair or dair, I could see how shine would be useful though). Not sure if it's possible or a viable strategy depending on how difficult it is to execute.

Doesn't have to be a viable strategy imo. It could be purely for Falco swag. It's not that viable to try spiking Fox out of Firefox as Marth, but I'll do it sometimes for style.
