Is C-sticking Double Fairs safer than using the analog stick?

Thanks for reading. :)

I would say so, I dont use the analog for any air attacks unless i cant move my thumb fast enough.

The only time double fairs should be done is during a combo imo. So it's not necessary to c-stick both since you should be practically gauranteed the first hit to try it. Trying to shield pressure with double fairs generally isn't very good. A lot of characters can sh nair our of shield after the first hit and reach you, or they can just roll or waveshield in after the first swipe as well. I do, however, use c-stick to space practically every aerial such as single spaced fairs, upairs, dairs, and the second hit of a sh double fair.

So I would say while technically it makes it easier to sh double fair without getting shield grabbed, if your doing double fairs when they are shielding against better players you will get punished for it.

It's better to use the C-stick for double fairs if you want to remain stationary or move backwards while using them, which you'll usually want to do if you want to fair out of a shield. Overall, though, I prefer using the c-stick for aerials in general, which is why I can't stand 1-player mode <_<

This goes for all questions about C-stick and analog or other "which button/stick to use" questions. Use whatever is most comfortable and fits your style best. Personally, I use C-stick for every single aerial but Nair. And I'm probably one of the only players on smashboards that uses control stick for shorthops, full jumps, wavedashes, and whatever else you need jumping for. I can't use X/Y without failing.

Same here.
I use analog for jumping and WDing, i cant seem to pres Y and X and A and Tap the Down button AND press L. Its easier to just do, Up A Down L.

lol @ "down button"

If you have trouble w/ A, Z is always a good substitute.

I first learned how to short hop double fair with the Z button. However, the times when I pressed Z too fast and did a jump-cancelled grab instead irked me enough that I began short-hopping double fairs with A and the C-stick.
