Hey guys, I'm a brand new member here (created a few mins ago :p) and these may sound silly, but I am trying to get better.

My brother enjoys picking Marth, and by god his forward and up tilt-a seems so unpunishable by both land and jumping, it's hitbox seems ridiculous (btw I play Falco). I don't really know how to punish it. I tried to look at framedata but ... i really dont get how to read it :| . This would probably favourable to answer in as much detail as possible (as I have no clue).
I also don't quite get how I can get back to the stage after I've been knocked off (i.e. he refuses to ledge hog and I'm hanging), what is (are?) the safest way(s) to get back on the stage against marth after being knocked off?
Lastly, what is the best type of throw I can do to lead into a serious damage dealing combo (in general, lets not worry about the heavys mids lights etc.). Up, down, left or right? And what should I lead into.

Thanks for at least reading this and if you reply you're awesome =D

Also, who in your opinion is the best falco player to watch and learn from?

Here's the main Falco character board.

Here's one guide to Falco.

Here's another one.

Here's the main Falco discussion thread.

Most of the stuff in the Falco discussion thread will be lost to you now, but as you get better, you will probably find a lot of the info in their invaluable.

Some terms thrown around on the boards:
SHFFL = short hop fast fall l-cancel
WD = wavedash
DD = dashdance
ftilt, dtilt, utilt = forward tilt, down tilt, utilt
fsmash, dsmash, usmash = forward smash, down smash, up smash
fair, uair, dair, nair, bair = forward air, up air, down air, neutral air, back air

if you're next to him, either stay just out of the range of the attack and SHFFL dair at him when he's open cuz he has a good amount of cool down on his attacks. alternatively, you could shield his tilt if you're right next to them and SHFFL a dair out of that.

if you're offstage, you have a side-b and an up-b to recover. how you recover only depends on how the marth decides to edgeguard you.
learning how to aim a side-b to the ledge and edge-cancelling side-b (space your side-b so you land exactly at the end of a platform, cancelling your landing lag) are both incredibly useful
learning how to up-b at various angles, and being able to up-b into the ledge is also really useful

if you're at the ledge struggling to get up, learn how to ledgehop double laser (stomps noobs), aerial from the edge (super noob stomp, but really bad otherwise), and WD from the ledge (hard to perfect, but super safe done properly).
from what i can tell, uthrow is falco's best throw if you're looking for a followup. i've seen uthrow to dair at various % and uthrow to fair (multi-hits) at low % on Marth.

too many good falcos to mention. i could mention one, but if he's not to your taste or doesn't match your desired style, he won't be a good reference to you. i'll list all the really good ones i know and you figure out who you wanna watch
mango, dr. peepee, dashizwiz, westballz, forward, bombsoldier, pc chris, zhu

Other good more selective mixups and or difficult options that should be mastered later as appropriate are wavedashing from ledge, walljump side-b, and turnaround shine into rising bair into side-b, which when done fast enough, the side-b is able to grab ledge again after bair.
