Sorry if i should ask these in a sticky. i'm kinnda new and i have a few questions that i really want answered.

1) I play on 64 and jigglypuffs Bdown sleep move does literally nothing. she just falls asleep and it dosnt do any damage ever. I've tryed EVERYTHING on practice 1 player mode and nothing seems to work. Is this normal?

2) i've just mastered the awesomeness of dash dancing and smash attacking on the run. when i play friends they always play characters such as mario or samus and they just long range fire me as soon as i start dashing. how do i use it to full potential?

3) Z delay cancling. i can do it fine in practice ect but when i'm in game i dont often think about it. am i ment to spam Z when i'm doing up/down a (with link) or should i just practice it more untill it becomes second nature?

thanks in advance :)

1. Jiggly's b-down move you have to be touching them as soon as you fall asleep for it to do damage

2. im confused

3. I don't think spamming Z will work, as you land from doing an aerial move while still in animation, press Z. It's a timing that's the same with basically every single move so just practice till it's 2nd nature.

The hitbox of Jiggs' down-b is very small...try using her down-aerial (the spinning attack) and then using it after landing right on top of the foe.

For the second question...dash dancing is almost useless. The only thing you can do with it is bait, and for that rapidly smashing the stick back-and-forth isn't going to be good. It's best to dash, stop, then dashdance back and forward again to get them. You can play slight mindgames by being within run > grab range, but this is just an extension of baiting. In all honesty, all you can do with it is the aforementioned baiting and taunt cancelling. Aside from this, there are a few specific things to do with this - Falcon's U-Smash x 2, followed by a dashdance > grab is easier to time than just turning around and grabbing (for me, anyway).

Spamming Z won't do it in the long run. Perfect the timing and you have a formidable weapon. Otherwise, you'll have problems. Without it, you can't hope to compete properly - Z-cancelling is taken for granted by any competitive player.

And there is a 'Ask a Question, get an answer' sticky. Seriously, you should at least have a quick look before posting.

For the second question...dash dancing is almost useless.
Don't listen to that line.

While it's useless to dash dance from a long distance away, unless your opponent has no projectile and is extremely aggressive in playstyle, dashdancing has a ton of applications everywhere else.

The biggest one is if an opponent comes at you with an attack - you dashdance quickly away and quickly back towards your foe, then grab. You've just dodged their attack in a fast maneuver and landed a grab.

Watch matches online with good players (check out Isai's channel, "Mevsec", lots of new vids with good players) to see this done.

If you watch any vid of good players playing as Jigglypuff, you'll see them use her down+B move as a finisher, too. It's one of Jiggly's main finishing moves. When you hear the "TWANG" sound and see the opponent go flying, you'll know the move has connected :p As people have said it has a small hitbox, you pretty much have to be in the same space as the other player when you press it.
