Questions about skill swap

Heyo again. I have some questions about the move skill swap that I hope the brilliant minds here can answer. If they seem noobish, bear with me, there is a cool idea behind them that I don't want to spell out just yet.

1. Can you use skill swap on a Pokemon that uses Protect?

2. Can you use skill swap on a Pokemon with Wonder Guard?

3. If a skill swapped Pokemon switches out, does it keep its new ability or does it regain its original one?

4. If Ditto transforms into a skill swapped Pokemon, does he gain the new ability or the orignial one?

I'll add more if I think of them, but those should cover the main bases.

3. I think it's regains it's original one.

4. I think Ditto gets the original one.

1. It counts as a "self" move, I think. If I'm right, Trick can be more useful than Thief.

2. According to the guide, no.

Oh, and it's cool for a Slakoth's or Slaking's partner in a double battle to use Skill Swap on it and then on an opponent, but the sluggish ones cannot learn it themselves.

What about this:

Can you baton pass an ability acquired through skill swap or role play? Say, someone uses skill swap and baton passes to a slaking...would that slaking have something other than truant? Doubt it, but I'm desperate to find a way to get around that stupid ability, lol

You cannot Skill Swap Wonder Guard, unless you have Trace.
