I have a few questions about playing and downloading online Melee that I could not find the answer to anywhere else.
1) Do I need to have my firewall down while I am playing online Melee?
2) Where is the best place to download an emulator that will work with online Melee as of now?
3) Where is the best place to find matches with other smashers?
I would very much appreciate it if someone replied to this post with an answer(s) to my questions.

When you open Dolphin for the first time, Windows will ask you to make an exception in the firewall.

1. For some it will require an exception but no you don't need your firewall down.

2. You're going to want dolphin 4.0-652 (standard netplay build of dolphin), you can also get the current standard test build 4.0-5886 if you want to try out the new features (less input lag, native support for wii u adapters, better performance). 652 is generally required whereas 5886 is optional. You can easily find a download to both of these by just googling dolphin 4.0-652 or dolphin 4.0-5886.

3. smashladder.com

There's also comprehensive guides and faqs on there that will answer any additional questions, or just ask around in the chat. Happy smashing
