Question On Breeding In Ruby

In pokemon ruby is it possible to breed a shiny pokemon if one of the pokemon you are using to breed the pokemon is shiny? This is kind of a n00bish question but i need to know and I'm not sure.

It was posible in GSC, but I'm pretty sure in the GBAversions, each egg, regardless of parentage has the same chance as being shiney as a random wild pokemon.
